Greg has worked in the patent profession since 2002. He specialises in mechanical, electrical and software based technology, particularly in the medical device field. Greg has previously worked for top tier private practice firms in the UK and Germany and also for a US based private practice firm.
Greg has particular expertise in prosecution and post-grant opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. Greg has a significant patent drafting practice and has worked with US based patent attorneys to develop a patent application drafting style that aims to complement the sometimes conflicting requirements of European and US patent practice.
Greg represents clients from individual inventors to multinational companies with large patent portfolios. He prides himself on fully understanding the subtleties of the technology at issue and recognising the associated business interests of clients. He aims to propose optimal solutions for obtaining commercially relevant patent protection, whilst striving for maximum time and cost efficiency in his work.
Greg has been a European Patent Institute (EPI) tutor since 2011.
His leisure interests include still trying to play amateur football and road cycling.
