Our patent attorneys are complemented by a first class team of paralegals who look after many of the formal requirements that are associated with applying for a patent. This enables our patent attorneys to take the lead on tackling scientific, technical and legal issues. Our paralegal staff are instrumental in the day to day running of the firm.

Caroline Allen Patent Paralegal

Caroline has rapidly gained experience in the formal requirements associated with the demands of running a portfolio of European patent applications. She is also experienced in the formal requirements relating to UK and PCT patent filings.

Kim Pearce Patent Practice Specialist

Kim is our most experienced paralegal with over 17 years experience in the patent profession. Her role has now progressed into working with the Partners to identify and implement legal changes that impact our practice. She also handles more specialised projects, oversees the Records Management system with Dawn and is the paralegal trainer.

Victoria Potts Patent Paralegal

Victoria joined us from the University of Southampton where she worked in technology transfer with inventors/licensees and various firms of Patent Attorneys. She now specialises in patent formalities and is rapidly gaining experience in the many formal requirements of the European Patent Office that are associated with the filing, prosecution and grant of patent applications.

Kirsty Powell Patent Paralegal

Kirsty has a wealth of experience in patent formalities having joined us from another firm of Patent Attorneys where she was a Partner’s paralegal. Her experience is put to good use in the firm as she is one of the key paralegals that handles the work for our largest client.
