Paralegals

Our patent attorneys are complemented by a first class team of paralegals who look after many of the formal requirements that are associated with applying for a patent. This enables our patent attorneys to take the lead on tackling scientific, technical and legal issues. Our paralegal staff are instrumental in the day to day running of the firm.

Dawn Bell Paralegal Team Leader

Dawn oversees the day to day management of the paralegal side of the firm. She works closely with Kim on implementing legal changes that impact on our every day patent practice. She also manages the Records Management system with Kim.

Caroline Allen Patent Paralegal

Caroline has rapidly gained experience in the formal requirements associated with the demands of running a portfolio of European patent applications. She is also experienced in the formal requirements relating to UK and PCT patent filings.

Kim Pearce Patent Practice Specialist

Kim is our most experienced paralegal with over 17 years experience in the patent profession. Her role has now progressed into working with the Partners to identify and implement legal changes that impact our practice. She also handles more specialised projects, oversees the Records Management system with Dawn and is the paralegal trainer.

Victoria Potts Patent Paralegal

Victoria joined us from the University of Southampton where she worked in technology transfer with inventors/licensees and various firms of Patent Attorneys. She now specialises in patent formalities and is rapidly gaining experience in the many formal requirements of the European Patent Office that are associated with the filing, prosecution and grant of patent applications.

Kirsty Powell Patent Paralegal

Kirsty has a wealth of experience in patent formalities having joined us from another firm of Patent Attorneys where she was a Partner’s paralegal. Her experience is put to good use in the firm as she is one of the key paralegals that handles the work for our largest client.

Natalie Sadowski Patent Paralegal

Natalie is very exerienced in the formal requirements associated with UK, European and PCT patent applications having previously worked for a patent Partner. She has many years of experience working with international patent portfolios and the intricacies associated with entering the patent applications into the national and regional phases and managing the foreign applications.

Emily Frankham Patent Paralegal

Emily joined the firm as a Junior Paralegal and has now progressed to her role as a Patent Paralegal. She is experienced in the formal requirements associated with filing, prosecuting and granting European patent applications before the European Patent Office.

Laura Koshal Patent Paralegal

Laura joined the firm in 2017 with fifteen years of experience in the formal requirements associated with filing, prosecuting and granting European and UK patent applications. She has also managed international patent portfolios and the intricacies associated with entering patent applications into the national and regional phases, seeing them through to the granting stage.
