Conor McGuiness

Conor is a qualified European and Chartered Patent Attorney with extensive expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and managing patent portfolios. Specializing in medical device patents, Conor currently focuses primarily on the prosecution of patents in this field.

Having worked at several UK firms as well as a multinational US-based firm, Conor has built a diverse portfolio of experience. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications covering a wide range of technologies, including mechanical, electrical, and software inventions. His work spans industries such as threat detection, electric vehicles, automotive, machine learning, and cryptography.

Conor has had the privilege of working with clients of all sizes, from small startups to large multinational corporations. Notably, he has managed global patent portfolios, for both a multinational threat detection and an electric vehicle startup, gaining an in-depth understanding of local patent practices across numerous jurisdictions including the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Korea, India, and Russia.

With a solid academic foundation in physics from the University of Oxford, Conor combines a strong technical background with his legal expertise.

Outside of work, Conor enjoys marathon running, horticulture, and developing software.
